ICAT 2006, International Conference on Automotive Technologies, has been successfully completed!

We would like to thank all of our participants for accepting the invitation from the conference organization committee. We also have to say that without the generosity of our sponsors this conference would not have been possible.

I would like to commend you all for the well-organized meeting. I thoroughly enjoyed the meeting, meeting new colleagues and I learned a lot, especially the European perspective and Turkish technology status and opportunuties presentation from Jan Nahum. I have no criticism, only praise. Thank you very much for inviting me to attend and give a presentation. I would love to participate in the next meeting too.

I think the conference could profit from being extended to two days instead of one. This could maybe give more time for the presentations and also leave more time for mingling. Maybe this would also attract more people to the conference since travelling all the way to Istanbul for only one day of conference might feel far away.

Otherwise I think the conference was very well organised with a professional appearance and of course the invited speakers were very well taken care off!

The symposium was of excellent quality and has been an opportunity to know some aspects of the Turkish economy on automotive field. Especially, the keynote speaker from the Turkish oil company in the opening session, who showed the potential for the great opportunuties that Turkish automotive industry has, was admirable!

Thank you for the opportunity to participate in this year’s ICAT. It was very interesting for me to see the different perspectives on the automotive industry presented at the conference and I learned a lot from attending. The wonderful meal on Friday night was worth the trip by itself.

I thought that this was a very well-organized event with some very good participants. The only critique I could offer is that the attendance for the later sessions seemed rather low. Perhaps this could be improved with a closing session and reception at the end or some kind of closing event to bring the conference to a definite conclusion.

I thought the conference was excellent, very good speakers and a good venue. My compliments on its success.

My comments would be that the timing was a little tight - 20 minutes for some of the earlier speakers (particularly the ones presenting Turkish industry in the opening session) was a little restrictive; would have happily heard more from people such as Jan Nahum and Alain Heilbrunn. Also, given the excellence of the presentations (particularly those in the morning), I was surprised that the audience wasn't a little bigger - it certainly deserved to be.

Again, my compliments on an excellent event.

This was a most interesting conference with superior facilities. Lunch and diner were great! I would just have liked to have no parallel sessions.... everything was interesting!
